Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Davis Downtown is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain cleanliness in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You will help ensure rooms meet hotel standards and support the housekeeping team to deliver a positive guest experience.

The role requires US work authorization, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends. Grooming standards and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• US work authorization required.
• 6 months previous housekeeping experience in hotel/resort or similar preferred but not required.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Cleans guest rooms, hallways, public areas and back of house to hotel standards. Reports maintenance issues and ensures rooms pass final inspection.
• Inspects rooms after cleaning and communicates any lost and found items to the supervisor. Works with team to complete tasks efficiently and greet guests courteously.
• Adheres to safety policies, handles cleaning chemicals properly, and maintains organization of storage closets and corridors.

Job Title: Room Attendant

Department: Housekeeping

Reporting: Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary

The room attendant maintains the cleanliness standards of the hotel in all guest rooms, back of house and public areas.

Job Duties

• Operations: Cleans guest rooms up to hotel standards including guest hallways, public areas and back of house areas as needed. Report any maintenance issues to engineering and or supervisor/manager to address them. Thoroughly inspects each guest room once it has been cleaned and completed before housekeeping supervisor does a final inspection. Communicate to Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager or General Manager when recovering any and all lost and found items. Effectively work with team members to accomplish assigned tasks each day. Greet each guest that you encounter in the hallways, lobby or public areas with “Good Morning” or “Good Afternoon” or “Good Evening”. Follow procedures for entering and leaving guest rooms. Turn in keys and communication devices to the Housekeeping Department when shift ends. Follow all instructions when filling spray bottles with cleaning chemicals; never mix chemicals. Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage closets, guest laundry areas and corridors. Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready for work. Maintain control of keys issued to perform assigned duties. Work efficiently and as part of the team.
• Compliance & Safety: Watch for safety hazards and report them immediately to your Department Supervisor. Observe all safety policies and procedures during the execution of assigned duties. Work in a safe manner to prevent injury to yourself, other staff members or our valued guests. Properly handle all equipment and cleaning chemicals (i.e. washer, dryer, detergents etc.).
