Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Room Attendant for the Residence Inn Birmingham Downtown at UAB. This on-site role supports guest rooms and public areas, focusing on cleanliness, safety, and guest comfort.

You will work within a collaborative housekeeping team, following established standards and safety practices. Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, restocking supplies, and ensuring rooms meet the brand’s quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, reach overhead, and work in confined spaces.
• Must be willing to pitch in and help coworkers as a team.
• Familiarity with cleaning agents and operation of cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floors.
• Strip beds and make beds, changing linens up to 50 lbs.
• Dust all furniture, window ledges and shelves.
• Push and pull vacuum, empty trash, replenish amenities.
• Sign for room keys and restock heavy carts.
• Visually inspect room for cleanliness and report discrepancies.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.

No**Overview**Maintain the hotel rooms and building to ensure safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors.### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.* Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.* Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.* Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.* Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.* Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.* Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart.
