Job summary

ION Solar is hiring a Solar Installer to assemble, install, and maintain PV systems across residential rooftops. The role involves configuring systems per site conditions, connecting panels to the electrical grid, and maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Team-based outdoor work includes collaboration with technicians and electricians. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred vocational training and experience in solar, roofing, or construction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training preferred.
• Experience in solar, roofing, or construction preferred.
• Ability to read plans and equipment manuals; familiarity with PV components.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs solar panels on roofs.
• Configures PV systems based on site conditions and customer needs; connects panels to the grid.
• Maintains high levels of quality assurance and safety on site.
• Assists Electrician with connecting PV panels to the electrical system.
• Works outdoors on rooftops and in attics/crawl spaces as needed.
