Job summary

ProSolar on St. Croix, US Virgin Islands seeks a Solar Technician to schedule, perform and record inspections for installed projects, ensuring sign-off milestones and functional installations. The role involves field work on rooftops and outdoor sites.

You will assess sites, interpret installation plans, install and repair solar systems, handle electrical connections, ensure weatherproofing, and educate customers on system operation. Outdoors, long hours and varying weather may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous PV design, installation or electrical experience, such as reading blueprints or plans.
• Minimum one year of field construction experience preferred.
• Must be 21+, valid driver's license, clean driving record.
• Adhere to safety policies and encourage safe work.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess the job site, identify and resolve potential hazards.
• Create or interpret solar panel installation plans and mapping.
• Install, inspect, maintain and repair solar panel systems.
• Perform electrical work to connect/repair full solar systems with proper grounding.
• Weatherproof installations per safety regulations and manufacturer specs.
• Coordinate with Service Administrator on schedule; maintain service tickets.
• Educate customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Work outdoors; weekends and OT may be required.
