Job summary

Valcourt Group is seeking a hands-on roofing helper to support service technicians with roof repairs, maintenance, and inspections on outdoor job sites. You will carry and organize tools, prepare surfaces, and assist with ladder setup and safety measures.

This entry-level position offers on-the-job training, overtime opportunities, and a clear growth path toward becoming a Service Technician or Foreman as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or roofing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. regularly
• Valid driver's license (preferred)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Willingness to learn roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, shingles, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist service technicians with roof repairs, maintenance, and inspections
• Carry and organize tools, materials, and equipment on job sites
• Clean and prepare roof surfaces before and after repairs
• Help identify roof leaks and problem areas
• Set up ladders, safety equipment, and job site protection
• Remove debris and ensure job sites are clean and safe
• Follow all safety procedures, including fall protection and OSHA guidelines
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors
• Drive company vehicles to and from job sites (if qualified)
