Job summary

Royalty Roofing USA is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure compliance with health and safety laws and to maintain policies that create a safe workplace. The role requires attention to detail to identify hazards and the ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce.

Salary is based on experience and ranges from $75,000 to $95,000 annually. The position involves rooftop safety inspections, training, policy development, and travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as safety manager.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to produce reports and develop policies.
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
• Attention to detail and observation ability.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• BS/BA in safety management or relevant field preferred.
• Valid qualifications in occupational health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rooftop safety inspections and job site training.
• Execute safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
• Conduct regular training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
• Manage company DOT compliance.
• Inspect equipment and tools to observe possible unsafe conditions.
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.
• Travel is required.
