Job summary

Valentine-Roofing is seeking a Safety Manager to develop, manage, and implement the company's safety and training programs. The role will drive job site safety compliance through routine inspections, documentation, retraining, and advising on WA L&I and OSHA policies.

Our ideal candidate is professional, positive, and sincere, reporting directly to the company president. The role includes coordinating toolbox talks, monitoring training effectiveness, and leading incident investigations and PPE

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in safety or related field or Certificate in safety or related field.
Knowledge of basic safety regulations.
Clean driving record.
Ability to work independently.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Alignment with company culture is a must.

Responsibilities

Develop toolbox talks to equip roofing crews for the scope of work performed.
Monitor training effectiveness by testing trainees and adjusting material as needed.
Assist in quarterly safety training by providing in-depth materials to engage employees.
Develop professional relationships with safety personnel in the community and participate in ASSP.
Conduct incident investigations and reporting.
Oversee back to work and light duty programs.
PPE inventory management.
Document job site safety inspections and WA L&I recordkeeping tasks.
