Job summary

SRS Building Products in Baltimore is seeking a Rooftop Loader to support delivery and unloading of roofing materials at residential and commercial sites. You will work with drivers to move items to rooftops using conveyors, while following safety guidelines and protecting customer property.

The role requires physical stamina to lift 80–100 lbs, adherence to OSHA rules, use of PPE and occasional overtime. Local travel is typical within the branch area.

Qualifications

• Background checks and pre-employment drug screen required.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to lift 80-100 lbs repeatedly.
• Basic math and inventory counting.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Read work orders and follow verbal instructions.
• Work on rooftops with PPE (harness).
• OT may be required; Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods.
• Follow safety guidelines; assist in scaffolding assembly & inspect equipment.
• Distribute materials onto roofs per safety guidelines; protect workers and property.
• Operate conveyor systems to move materials from trucks to rooftops.
• Verify and reconcile material orders; document inventory movements.
• Provide excellent service to roofing contractors by addressing material needs.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and PPE use; maintain safe job sites.
• Coordinate with drivers for efficient loading/unloading and branch operations.
• Assist safety assessments by inspecting sites for hazards and guiding vehicle movements.
