Arlo Hotels, an independent lifestyle hotel, is now actively seeking a dynamic Rooftop Bartender (Seasonal).

The bartender plays a vital role on the Rooftop. You will be responsible for taking orders, preparing beverages, serving drinks, selling food, and building repeat clientele. Your skills, knowledge, and personality will help provide a dining experience that exceeds expectations, creating memorable moments for our guests.

Responsibilities and Authorities:

• Always treat guests with courtesy and respect in all situations.
• Report immediately any accidents or incidents that occur during work.
• Acknowledge guests with eye contact and use their names whenever possible.
• Report all guest concerns to management promptly.

Specific Duties:

• Acknowledge all bar guests immediately, even during busy times.
• Take food and beverage orders, using sales techniques and making appropriate recommendations.
• Read your guests to make suitable suggestions.
• Input orders correctly into the POS system.
• Have strong knowledge of house cocktails and standard recipes.
• Be knowledgeable about the wine list and able to answer questions.
• Prepare beverages quickly for bar and service bar guests.
• Open wine and champagne bottles using proper techniques.
• Respond promptly to guests' needs and acknowledge all guests.
• Interact courteously and professionally with guests, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Proactively resolve guest complaints.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Mark all bar guests for each course in advance of food delivery.
• Keep menu knowledge up to date and review regularly.
• Alert management to high-value guests or those requiring extra attention.
• Ensure accuracy of guest checks and process payments promptly, managing your own bank.
• Handle cash correctly and give proper change.
• Close out cash checks at the end of the shift.
• Complete end-of-night closing procedures.
• Notify management of relevant shift information.
• Follow responsible alcohol service practices, including carding guests under 40.
• Adhere to health department procedures and best practices behind the bar.

Requirements:

• Completion of 40 hours of classes in a professional bartending program.

Seasonal Period:

End date of September 15, 2025; subject to business needs.

Rate of Pay:

$11.00 per hour.
