Job summary

Astro Buildings is seeking a construction laborer to assist in building erection tasks at our Omaha, NE site. You will measure and arrange materials, use various power tools, and assemble components per plans. You will ensure accuracy with levels and plumb bobs while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires the ability to lift at least 80 lbs and to interface with crews and customers as needed. On-the-job training is provided by Astro.

• Experience or training related to construction to meet knowledge and abilities.
• Astro provides on-the-job training.
• Must be able to lift at least 80lbs.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mark and arrange materials in preparation of building erection.
• Use miscellaneous power tools.
• Assemble materials per plans & specifications.
• Check accuracy of work with levels, plumb bobs, framing squares and making any necessary adjustments.
• Install roofing, siding & trim as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Complies with Astro policies and procedures.
• Operate construction equipment as required i.e.: skid steer, scissor lift, etc.
