Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Estimator specialized in roofing and siding to collaborate with clients, obtain bid documents, and prepare accurate takeoffs and estimates. You will review plans, specifications, and drawings, and leverage PlanSwift and other tools to deliver competitive bids.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, with proven estimating success, solid math skills, and strong negotiation abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience as an estimator is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field (not mandatory).
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification preferred.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to forecast building costs with estimation formulas.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in PlanSwift and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope by studying docs and client communication.
• Collect plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare takeoffs with PlanSwift for new construction.
• Use third-party tools: EagleView, GAF QuickMeasure, Hover.
• Identify cost drivers and estimate labor and materials.
• Gather bids and negotiate with providers for best prices.
• Submit estimates to clients and project managers.
• Budget and forecast with appropriate software.
