Job summary

Crown Roofing & Waterproofing is seeking a dependable Roofing Service Technician in the Sarasota, FL area to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on commercial and residential roofing systems. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and independent work while delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include diagnosing leaks, documenting findings, coordinating with customers, and handling tools and materials on-site.

Qualifications

• Roofing experience preferred; roofing service and repair experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of common commercial and residential roofing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in Florida weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair roofing issues, including leaks and storm damage.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service repairs on commercial and residential roofing systems.
• Troubleshoot and identify the source of roof leaks and other roofing problems.
• Document findings with photographs and detailed service reports.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding findings, repairs, and recommendations.
• Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Complete work orders accurately and on time.
• Assist with emergency service calls when needed.
