Job summary

VALCOURT EXTERIOR BUILDING SERVICES OF GEORGIA LLC is seeking an experienced Roofing Service Manager to lead our commercial roofing service and repair division. You will direct operations, supervise technicians, and drive profitability while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires deep knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal), hands-on estimating, and leadership of a fast-paced service team in a growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in commercial roofing industry.
• At least two years of supervisory or service management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal).
• Experience diagnosing roof leaks and making repair recommendations.
• Experience preparing estimates, scopes of work, and maintenance agreements.
• Proficiency with CRM, estimating, dispatch, scheduling, and MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to climb ladders and access commercial roofs safely.

Responsibilities

• Direct, schedule, and dispatch roofing service crews to maximize productivity.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop service personnel.
• Conduct safety meetings and ongoing technical training; ensure OSHA compliance.
• Monitor workloads; ensure calls, repairs, and PM projects are completed on schedule.
• Manage service tools, equipment, materials, inventory, and vehicle maintenance.
• Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and PM agreements; review tickets and time records for accuracy.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and respond promptly to emergencies and concerns.
• Monitor department revenue, labor costs, margins, and profitability; report KPIs.

Valcourt Exterior Building Services of Georgia is seeking an experienced, leadership-driven Roofing Service Manager to oversee our commercial roofing service and repair division.This position is responsible for managing daily service operations, leading and developing service technicians, estimating repair work, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the department meets its safety, quality, revenue, and profitability goals.The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of commercial roofing systems, strong operational and estimating experience, and a proven ability to lead a profitable service team in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations and Team LeadershipDirect, schedule, and dispatch roofing service crews and technicians to maximize productivity, response times, and customer satisfaction.Recruit, train, supervise, and develop service department personnel.Conduct performance evaluations, safety meetings, and ongoing technical training.Monitor daily workloads and ensure service calls, emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance projects are completed on schedule.Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, fall-protection standards, company safety policies, and job-site procedures.Manage service tools, equipment, materials, inventory, and vehicle maintenance.Inspections, Estimating, and SalesConduct commercial roof inspections and accurately identify leaks, damage, and required repairs.Prepare detailed estimates, scopes of work, proposals, and pricing for repair projects and preventative maintenance agreements.Review service tickets, technician reports, labor hours, materials, and job-site photos for accuracy and completeness.Identify opportunities for additional repair work, maintenance programs, and long-term service agreements.Partner with sales and operations teams to support business development and customer retention.Customer RelationsServe as the primary point of contact for property managers, facility managers, building owners, and other service customers.Respond promptly to emergency leak calls, warranty requests, and customer concerns.Resolve service issues professionally while maintaining strong customer relationships.Build long-term partnerships that generate repeat business and maintenance contract renewals.Ensure customers receive timely updates regarding scheduling, job progress, findings, and completed work.Financial PerformanceManage service department revenue, labor costs, material margins, job profitability, and operating expenses.Review and approve technician timesheets, purchase orders, service tickets, and completed work.Ensure service documentation is complete and submitted promptly for invoicing.Monitor department performance using financial reports, operational metrics, and key performance indicators.Assist with establishing and achieving quarterly and annual revenue and profitability goals.QualificationsMinimum of five years of commercial roofing industry experience.At least two years of supervisory, service management, or operational leadership experience.Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal roofing, coatings, and related repair methods.Demonstrated experience diagnosing roof leaks and developing accurate repair recommendations.Experience preparing estimates, proposals, scopes of work, and preventative maintenance agreements.Strong leadership, communication, conflict-resolution, and customer-service skills.Ability to manage multiple service calls, crews, customers, and priorities simultaneously.Proficiency with CRM, estimating, dispatch, scheduling, and standard Microsoft Office software.Strong understanding of job costing, labor utilization, material margins, and department profitability.Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to climb ladders and safely access commercial roofs of varying heights and conditions.
