Job summary

Tecta America is seeking entry-level roofing helpers in Amarillo, TX to assist with safe installation and repair of roofs and materials. The role emphasizes learning roofing systems under supervision and adhering to safety protocols.

Position is non-exempt with an hourly rate starting at $15 per hour, with an additional $1/hour bonus for holding a valid driver's license. Candidates must be 18+, capable of working in extreme weather, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Able to apply trade knowledge procedures and practices as applicable.
• Able to learn on the job.
• Must 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work in extreme weather elements.
• Must be skilled in or learn safe and economical use of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Valid DL and clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in laying roofing material to repair, maintain, and install roofs and accessories.
• Observe safety rules and use PPE.
• Learn tasks associated with roofing systems (shingles, felt, PVC, TPO, EPDM, BUR).
• Work under supervision and follow directions from more experienced roofers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
