Job summary

Tecta America is seeking a Roofing Helper in Amarillo, TX to support safe installation and repair of roofs and related materials. The role is non-exempt and paid at an hourly rate of $15.

You will assist with laying roofing materials, learn various systems (shingles, felt, PVC, TPO, EPDM, and more) under supervision, and follow safety rules and PPE guidelines. Overtime may be required.

• Essentials: Able to apply trade knowledge, learn on the job, and use tools safely and economically.

Responsibilities

• Observes safety rules and PPE usage.
• Assists in laying roofing material to repair, maintain, and install roofs and accessories.
• Learns tasks for roofing systems (shingles, felt, PVC, TPO, EPDM, MOD BIT, BUR, asphalt).
• Stays busy assisting the crew manager or co-workers.
• Works under general supervision with work orders or verbal instructions.
• Begins to learn next steps in different roofing systems and follows experienced roofers.
