Job summary

Semper Solaris is seeking an experienced Roofing Supervisor in California to lead residential roofing installations and coordinate crews. The role requires deep knowledge of CA roofing systems and codes, plus the ability to manage subcontractors and ensure safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in residential roofing, 2+ years in supervisory roles, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of residential roofing installation experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or crew leadership experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of California residential roofing systems, including asphalt shingle, tile, composite, low-slope, and other roof types.
• Advanced knowledge of California roofing codes, permitting requirements, and industry best practices.
• Experience evaluating roofs and consulting on solar installations across multiple roofing systems.
• Experience managing subcontractors in roofing and/or window installation projects.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and fall protection requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, scopes of work, and manufacturer specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and construction management software.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout California, including the Bay Area.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred to assist our Spanish-speaking subcontractors
