Job summary

Building Engineering-Consultants, Inc. seeks a Roofing Inspector/Project Field Technician in the Mobile, AL area. The role involves traveling regionally to support other branches and markets while performing inspections and quality analyses of roofing systems.

Requirements include 2+ years in roofing/ construction, OSHA-10, and RRO/RRC preferred with certification assistance available within 6 months of hire. This is a non-exempt position with overtime and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-4 years actively working in the construction industry; with at least two years specifically in roofing installation, inspection or consulting.
• OSHA - 10 certification
• RRO or RRC preferred through IIBEC, certification assistance available, required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting building envelope issues.
• Go onsite to construction sites to provide support and quality analysis.
• Produce reports based on investigations.
• Assist with the preparation of construction specifications.
• Provide technical support to staff as required.
• Attend trade shows, seminars and educational programs to stay abreast of industry trends and ensure continued professional development.

We are currently seeking a Roofing Inspector/Project Field Technician to join our team in the Mobile, AL market. This position is considered regional however, out of market travel will be required to support other branches/markets.

Previous Roofing Experience is required, RRO or RRC certification preferred.

Compensation

• This position is Non-exempt with paid overtime and the potential for quarterly performance-based bonuses.
• The salary is competitive and generally exceeds the national average.
