Job summary

Roof Consulting Services, Inc. (RCS) seeks a Quality Control Inspector to represent the firm on site, observe project conditions, document findings, and report daily through the RCS database.

The role requires at least five years of roofing experience, OSHA 10, and strong communication; you will coordinate with owners and designers and support safe, compliant roof installations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of roofing experience.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Basic computer skills for daily reports.

Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-construction, progress, and closeout meetings to document information.
  • Conduct daily interior and exterior inspections for leaks and conditions.
  • Observe roof activities to verify installation per plans and specs.
  • Prepare daily reports including manpower, weather, activities, and deviations.
  • Serve as liaison between contractual parties to ensure open communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Roof Consulting Services, Inc. (RCS) is seeking to hire a Quality Control (QC) Inspector responsible for representing Roof Consulting Services (RCS) in a professional manner at all times. The ability to observe, document and report daily work utilizing the RCS on-line database system which allows for the submission of daily reports to all parties involved with the project in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Attend meetings such as pre-construction, project progress, and project closeout to document meeting information and provide insight into project conditions for the owners and designers when required.
  2. Perform daily interior and exterior inspections to observe project conditions and to check for leaks.
  3. Observe and document activities on the roof while these activities are taking place to ascertain if the materials and methods of installation are in accordance with the approved plans and specifications for the new roof installation.
  4. Prepare daily reports documenting manpower, weather conditions, activities, progress, and any deviations or deficiencies.
  5. Serve as liaison between contractual parties to provide an open channel for communication during construction.
  6. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of roofing experience required.
  • OSHA certification required (minimum 10 hours).
  • Registered Roof Observer (RRO)/Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience in current roofing trends.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment and exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Must reflect a positive image for the organization.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Ability to safely utilize extension ladders up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
