Job description

Western Specialty Contractors is expanding our Roofing team in Houston, TX. We are seeking a hands-on leader with 10+ years of experience in commercial, low-slope roofing. Pay depends on experience, ranging from $25-$30 per hour.

As a Foreman, you will:

1. Identify existing and predictable hazards to work surroundings, including unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous conditions.
2. Communicate effectively to supervise employees and maintain customer relations.
3. Identify and investigate leaks, and lead patching and repair projects on various commercial roofs.
4. Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds.
5. Oversee and ensure compliance with company safety requirements.
6. Perform other tasks as required based on business needs.

Requirements

1. Demonstrate sufficient reading, writing, and math skills to understand safety policies and instructions.
2. Ability to read drawings is necessary.
3. Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, lifting 50+ pounds, climbing ladders and scaffolds, and seeing clearly (corrected or natural).
4. Ability to work at heights, in extreme temperatures, and wear safety equipment.
5. Experience in crew leadership and professional communication with customers.
6. Commercial roofing experience is required.
7. Proficient in leak investigations, patching, and repairs on various roofing types, including TPO, PVC, Asphalt BUR/Gravel, EPDM, Cold Process, Fluid Applied, etc.
8. Bilingual skills are preferred.
9. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Data Forma, and Edge platforms is preferred.
10. Must have reliable transportation and pass a drug screening.
