Job summary

A1 Roofing is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our in-office team. The role focuses on bidding plan sets for new construction and public/municipal projects, acting as an internal resource and SME, and collaborating with the outside estimating team to ensure accuracy and competitiveness across all active proposals.

Reporting to the CEO, this full-time exempt position requires strong roofing knowledge, extensive cost estimation, and ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial roofing estimating experience.
• Experience performing takeoffs from plan sets independently.
• Knowledge of public bid processes and prevailing wage requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and perform detailed takeoffs from full plan sets for new roofing projects.
• Prepare accurate, competitive bids for public/municipal and general contractor solicitations.
• Review bid documents and scope clarifications; incorporate requirements into estimates.
• Submit complete proposal packages on time and prepare change order estimates.
• Organize product information, shop drawings, and samples for submittals.
