gpac is seeking a Roofing Estimator to join our client’s team in the United States. The role focuses on preparing accurate estimates, reviewing plans, and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure bids are comprehensive and profitable.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of roofing estimation experience, familiarity with bid boards, and the ability to write and review contracts while maintaining adherence to OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and thorough job estimates.
• Review proposals, blueprints, and specifications to assess labor, materials, and time.
• Perform blueprint reviews and take-offs.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors and review pricing.
• Analyze subcontractor bids against documents to cover all aspects.
• Calculate costs for subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
• Collaborate with clients to meet project budgets and suggest material/finish alternatives.
• Produce profit and loss (P&L) reports.

Primary Responsibilities Of The Roofing Estimator

• Prepare accurate and thorough job estimates.
• Assess project labor, material, and time requirements by reviewing proposals, blueprints, written specifications, and related documents.
• Perform blueprint reviews and take-offs.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors.
• Collect subcontractor pricing and conduct scope reviews.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids against bid documents and plans to ensure all aspects of the project are covered.
• Calculate costs for subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
• Work closely with clients to help them meet project budget goals by evaluating plan details, suggesting alternative materials/finishes, and proposing different building methods.
• Produce profit and loss (P&L) reports.

Qualifications For The Roofing Estimator

• At least 2 years of experience in Roofing Estimation.
• Experience using bid boards to find projects to bid on.
• Solid understanding of roofing documentation.
• General contracting knowledge.
• Ability to write and review contracts.
• Familiarity with various roofing systems, materials, construction processes, and theories.
• Capable of identifying, correcting, and reporting unsafe conditions in line with company policies and OSHA standards.
