Qualifications

  • Two years of journeyman roofing experience.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable by University's carrier.

  • Must report to work during university emergencies or closures.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and install a variety of roof types (shingle, slate, metal, built-up).
  • Repair and maintain gutters and downspouts.
  • Use waterproofing materials, sealants, and caulking.
  • Perform routine roof inspections and document findings.
  • Maintain records of supplies and equipment.
  • Install or repair ceilings, doors, windows, locks, hardware, and furniture.
  • Frame, repair, and modify walls; hang and finish drywall and plaster.
  • Operate bucket trucks, snorkel lifts, bobcats, and backhoes.
  • Keep work area clean, safe, and properly roped off.
  • Maintain MSDS and follow safety protocols.
