Job summary

Brand Vaughan, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, seeks an experienced Designer to produce layouts for commercial and complex residential roof and floor systems in Georgia. You will discuss changes with engineers and architects, prepare truss layouts, and produce materials lists while ensuring accurate, up-to-date designs.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Civil/Architectural/Design fields, 3 years drafting experience in construction, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree required.
• 3 years of drafting experience in construction or building materials industry required.

Responsibilities

• Designs commercial and complex roof and floor systems and produces layouts.
• Discusses changes with engineers, architects and contractors during construction.
• Prepares roof truss and truss joist layouts.
• Produces materials list and determines notes to append contracts.
• Assists in shipping department and performs site inspections.
