Job summary

The Rome, NY location of Runnings is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in merchandising, sales and overall store management. You will deliver exceptional customer service and lead a team to meet store goals.

You will handle daily operations, scheduling, and shopper experience, with an hourly pay ranging from $21 to $25 depending on experience; a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and rotating weekends is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and expenses at the store.
• Direct and coordinate product merchandising.
• Prioritize distribution of new merchandise.
• Maintain adequate inventory across all areas.
• Assist customers with purchases, returns, orders and complaints.
• Collaborate with Retail Buyers on product needs.
• Ensure safety in handling merchandise by staff and customers.
• Delegate authority to store management as needed.
