Job summary

Springs Window Fashions and Affiliated Companies seeks an Assembler / Operator to fabricate, assemble, inspect and package Roman shades in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will work with fabric, sewing machines, mechanical components and automated equipment to meet safety, quality and production standards.

Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year manufacturing, sewing, textiles, upholstery, or assembly experience.
• Experience operating industrial sewing machines preferred.
• Prior experience with window coverings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Roman shade components by hand using hand-held tools and equipment.
• Fabricate Roman shades by installing sewn fabric panels, lift mechanisms, headrails, cords, rings and related hardware.
• Operate production equipment such as automatic screwdrivers, riveters, and other assembly machinery.
• Read, interpret, and follow work orders, sewing patterns, measurements, and SOPs.
• Measure, cut, and verify fabric dimensions using rulers, tape measures, templates, and calipers.
• Inspect sewn and assembled products for stitch quality, alignment, strength and appearance.
• Identify fabric defects, sewing issues or quality concerns and report to lead or supervisor.
• Track production counts, scrap, rework, and defects for each job.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation in line with 5S standards.
• Follow safety, quality, and production policies and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and training as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
