Title: Production Associate II

Location: Pompano Beach, FL

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $16.00/hour

Position Summary

The Production Associate II (Sewing Machine Operator) produces components by assembling fabricated parts and subassemblies. They may also test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Duties focus on daily labor, running equipment, and following written instructions. The associate may identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair them as necessary. They use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications, reporting to a supervisor or manager. The role requires moderate supervision and proficiency in multiple job functions.

Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of basic production and assembly processes, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations, following assembly work instructions.
  • Operates various production machines and may use hand tools to assemble products.
  • Receives training from Supervisor and other technicians in various disciplines as needed.
  • Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
  • Follows procedures, methods, and sequence of operations in performing daily tasks.
  • Ensures all product, material, parts, and documentation meet company specifications and quality standards.
  • Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards; counts finished products to determine order completion.
  • Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs them accordingly.
  • Actively contributes to ongoing continuous improvement efforts and projects.
  • Works under close supervision on routine work and general duties.
  • Communicates constantly with supervisor and group lead regarding issues that may arise on the production line.
  • Visually inspects parts to quality standards as described in the quality system.
  • Communicates any problems which arise to the supervisor or lead person.
  • Packs finished product as set forth by work instruction, including instructional sheets and necessary hardware.
  • Cross‑trains and rotates on a frequent basis.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in an assembly/production environment preferred.
  • Basic math skills with general knowledge of how to read a tape measure.
  • Able to stand for at least 8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to use a drill or staple gun.
  • Able to read and understand work orders and requirements.
  • Pay close attention to detail and stay focused on tasks.
  • Able to read and write and communicate clearly with others.
  • Able to sort product by order numbers and items per order.
  • Able to lift up to 25+ pounds and team‑lift up to 50+ pounds; work safely when lifting.
  • Must be honest, have a positive attitude, be respectful, dependable, and reliable. 2+ years at previous jobs required.
  • Requires 1–3 years of general work experience.
  • Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States, confirmed by E‑Verify within three business days of hire date.
