Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair trucks and heavy equipment in our Roseville, CA shop. You will diagnose issues, perform routine preventative maintenance, and ensure uptime of our fleet of vehicles and machinery, including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Ford, Kenworth, and more.

Ideal candidates have 3–10 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, strong reading/writing skills, and welding ability.

Qualifications

• High school or GED equivalent.
• 3–10 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• ASE Diesel Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory and shop cleanliness; service vehicles.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to diagnose problems and plan repairs.
• Maintain accurate repair records in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Diagnose and replace defective parts; keep work area organized.

In this role, the successful candidate will perform heavy equipment, small, medium, and large truck repair, and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards. This would include but not limited to running diagnostics on equipment, work closely with other team members to meet company goals, and ensure uptime of production equipment is acheived. Our equipment consists of Caterpillar, Komatsu, Ford, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Komptech, Vermeer, Tigercat, Freightliner, Bobcat, Sennebogen, Rotochopper, Vector, and Volvo.
