Employees use their mechanical knowledge to rework the metal strip and foil for critical applications in the medical, aerospace, and electronic industries.

AMETEK, Inc. has an opening for a Rolling Mill Operator at their Lancaster, PA plant for 3rd shift (11pm-7am). With an exceptional benefit package including tuition reimbursement, our positions start at $21.66 per hour, plus shift differential.

Job Duties:

1. Operates a cold strip rolling mill to reduce strip metal to specified thickness and physical properties, often holding to very fine tolerances.
2. Positions material, frequently new and untried alloys, in rolling mill, adjusts rolls and guides according to size and dimensions. Establish general processing techniques for new materials. Adjust controls to regulate flow of lubricant, machine speed, machine pressure, etc.
3. Observes setup and gauges and measurement devices to assure the processing of quality material.
4. Sets up equipment and changes rolls.

• Comfortable working in a unionized, multi-machine job shop environment
• Willingness to work on weekends if needed
• A high school diploma or GED certification
