Qualifications

• Prior experience operating a roller or similar heavy equipment.
• Basic understanding of asphalt compaction techniques and paving operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate vibratory or static rollers to compact asphalt and base materials on parking lots and paved surfaces.
• Work alongside paving crews to ensure proper compaction density and smooth surface finishes.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on roller equipment.
• Follow job site safety protocols and traffic control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with crew leaders and flaggers to coordinate paving operations.
• Maintain awareness of grade, slope, and surface quality during compaction passes.
• Keep equipment clean and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
