Job summary

Texas Materials is seeking a Roller Operator to operate roller and heavy equipment on construction projects while adhering to OSHA/MSHA safety standards. You will perform daily inspections, assist in training less-experienced staff, and coordinate with the Foreman and Safety Manager to ensure safe, efficient project execution.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of experience, with a willingness to travel and work nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Operate roller and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions in construction sites.
• Ability to read blueprints or project documents and perform basic math.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends when required.
• CDL Class A/B license with endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Roller and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Report problems to Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or HR Manager.
• Follow Foreman instructions for daily tasks on each project.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment; refer major issues.
• Train less-experienced workers on operation and servicing of equipment.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
