Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Elyria, OH is seeking a Roll Thread Setup Operator for the 1st shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm). You’ll set up and operate the Roll Thread machine, adjust tooling, and ensure parts meet specifications using gauges, while documenting tooling changes and participating in daily maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior Roll Thread operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior Tow Motor experience.
• Prior experience using gauges preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Ability to stand and walk for majority of an 8 to 10-hour day.
• Bend, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Push or pull product up to 200 pounds.
• Use hand tools up to 20 pounds over extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate Roll Thread machine.
• Change tooling for job setup, replace tooling and make adjustments as necessary.
• Pull tooling from Tool Crib and document on the tooling sign-out sheet.
• Adjust machine setting as required.
• Read & interpret shop order to produce parts to specifications.
• Use appropriate gauges to check product and ensure that parts meet quality specifications.
• Enter production into kiosk and move product to next operation.
• Perform daily maintenance on machines.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace. Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
