Sheridan Ohio is seeking a dedicated Press Room Operator to maintain paper roll inventory, prepare presses, and handle ink and plate preparation. The role requires physical stamina for long shifts and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Prior printing experience is preferred, with strong attention to detail and teamwork essential for success. Candidates should be dependable, able to follow instructions, and willing to work 10 to 12 hour shifts.

• Order correct quantity and type of paper.
• Shift paper rolls and locate on press.
• Set up splicer for continuous feed.
• Participate in make- ready hang plates.
• Fill ink fountains and checks conductivity.
• Performs initial checkout.
• Act as a second press operator where required.

• May handle hazardous waste as part of daily job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Monitor/ Assess performance of yourself and others to make improvements or take corrective actions.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
• Must be dependable, reliable and responsible in fulfilling obligations.
• Must work well with others.
• Must be flexible and open to change when needed.
• Able to follow instructions and make decisions.
• Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders.
• Must have some printing experience.
• The ability to work 10 to 12 hour shifts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have some printing experience.
• Minimum 1-year Press Room experience.
• Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of standing while setting up and operating equipment.
• Continuously bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
