Qualifications

• 5–10 years of roll grinding or CNC machining experience.
• Leadership/supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Experience in steel mills or metals processing environments preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Roll Shop operations for safe, efficient, high-quality production.
• Provide technical leadership for roll grinding and CNC machining.
• Coach and develop Roll Shop personnel to meet goals.
• Ensure rolls and machined parts meet quality and dimensional specs.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, quality, and engineering to resolve issues.
• Set production priorities, schedules, procedures, and performance standards.
• Monitor performance and take corrective action as needed.
• Promote safety culture and ensure policy compliance.
• Support continuous improvement in machining, grinding, tooling, and equipment.
• Maintain documentation and performance metrics.
• Participate in strategic planning and capital improvement for Roll Shop.
