Priority is seeking a Roll Off Truck Driver to safely operate roll off trucks serving industrial, residential, and commercial customers in Pontiac/Auburn Hills, MI. The role requires a valid CDL Class A or B and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections, comply with OSHA/DOT standards, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and communicate professionally with customers and dispatch to ensure reliable service.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL Class A or B.
• Minimum 1 year experience operating a roll off truck.
• Minimum 1 year experience in solid waste industry.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass criminal background check, physical and DOT drug screen.
• Must have a safe driving record with no avoidable accidents in past five years.
• Must communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal staff.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• May be required to work in emergency situations.

Responsabilités

• Performs pre and post trip inspections of truck.
• Operates truck in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
• Mounts and dismounts a heavy-duty truck many times each day.
• Completes assigned route daily, leaving the customers location free of debris.
• Professionally communicates with customers as needed.
• Notifies Route Manager/Dispatch of any accidents, injuries, property damage, or any other incidents.
• Notifies Route Manager/Dispatch of any service interruptions such as closed lots, blocked containers, safety hazards etc.
• Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair/replacement.
• Attends training programs, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Communicates customer requests to Route Manager/Dispatch.
• Immediately communicates mechanical problems to Mechanic and Supervisor.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
• Maintains professional appearance.

Job Purpose

In your role as a Roll Off Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a roll off truck and ancillary equipment on assigned route to haul solid waste/recycling debris from large, high volume industrial/construction customers, as well as residential and commercial customers.
