Job summary

Priority Waste Resources LLC is seeking a Roll Off Truck Driver to safely operate a roll off truck and related equipment on assigned routes, hauling solid waste and recycling debris from industrial, commercial, and residential customers.

The role requires a valid CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background, physical, and DOT drug screening tests. You will perform inspections, comply with OSHA/DOT rules, and communicate professionally with customers and the dispatch team.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL is required.
• At least 1 year of roll-off truck operation experience.
• At least 1 year in the solid waste industry preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass background check, physical and DOT drug screen; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck.
• Operates truck in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements and all laws.
• Mounts and dismounts a heavy-duty truck safely.
• Completes daily routes, leaving customer locations free of debris.
• Communicates professionally with customers and dispatch.
• Notifies Route Manager/Dispatch of incidents and service interruptions.
• Maintains cleanliness and professional appearance of the vehicle.

Job Purpose

In your role as a Roll Off Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a roll off truck and ancillary equipment on assigned route to haul solid waste/recycling debris from large, high volume industrial/construction customers, as well as residential and commercial customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs pre and post trip inspections of truck
• Operates truck in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws
• Mounts and dismounts a heavy-duty truck many times each day
• Completes assigned route daily, leaving the customers location free of debris
• Professionally communicates with customers as needed
• Notifies Route Manager/Dispatch of any accidents, injuries, property damage, or any other incidents
• Notifies Route Manager/Dispatch of any service interruptions such as closed lots, blocked containers, safety hazards etc
• Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair/replacement
• Attends training programs, briefings, and meetings as requiredCommunicates customer requests to Route Manager/Dispatch
• Immediately communicates mechanical problems to Mechanic and Supervisor
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
• Maintains professional appearance

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL
• 1-year experience operating a roll off truck preferred
• 1-year experience in solid waste industry preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to pass criminal background check, physical and DOT drug screen
• Must have safe driving record, including no avoidable accidents in the past five years
• Must have ability to communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal customer service
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• May be required to work in emergency situations
