Job summary

Geomet Recycling in Garland, TX is seeking a Roll-off Driver to safely operate roll-off trucks and transport scrap material from customers, yards, and drop-off points. You will interact with customers daily, follow safety protocols, and help keep scrap collection and processing efficient.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED, a Class A CDL, and 1–2 years of driving experience. Full-time, Monday–Friday with potential evening/weekend duties and DOT/OSHA compliance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of commercial driving experience preferred (roll-off or dump truck experience a plus).
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain Active Class A CDL license.

Responsibilities

• Operate company owned vehicle for the delivery and pick-up of scrap material.
• Completes daily pre-shift/pre-trip inspection of truck reporting any issues promptly.
• Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations representing the company in a positive manner.
• Maintains all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
• Communicate with dispatch and yard personnel regarding schedules, delays, or issues.
• Stages trailers at docks as directed by scale operator as needed.
• Assists with inventory of trailers at end of each business day detailing loaded or empty as needed.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
• Performs other projects/tasks as assigned.
