Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an experienced CDL driver to operate roll-off trucks and related equipment in Newport, NC.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain route sheets, and ensure safety on all assignments while delivering top-tier service to customers along each route. Ideal candidates hold a CDL with at least one year of driving experience or a CDL school certificate, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid CDL with at least 1 year of commercial driving experience or a CDL school certificate.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to maneuver heavy equipment safely and complete daily paperwork/inspections.
• Physically able to sit for extended periods and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and high-traffic environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate roll-off trucks and equipment to collect and transport waste.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and update route sheets.
• Follow safety rules and report hazards or issues to supervisor.
• Represent GFL with professional customer service on every route.
• Keep truck cab clean and collaborate with team to improve route efficiency.
