Qualifications

• Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
• Excellent reading and writing skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and have an attention to detail.
• Must work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle and report safety issues.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service each customer.
• Operate controls to lift, load refuse, and dispose of material at a designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify unsatisfactory containers and tag them as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and clean spills per safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and clean waste from the packer blade and truck body.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and Vehicle Condition Reports as required.
