**Job Summary:**
Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
- Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using standard DVIR forms; notes all issues for repair.
- Immediately reports unsafe situations or service issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
- Participates in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings.
- Works with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and address unsafe accounts.
- Performs duties as scheduled, assisting other drivers as needed.
- Reports incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Communicates customer requests/issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager.
- Dumps all containers and leaves the customer’s location clean.
- Completes customer tickets for excess yardage removal.
- Positions containers properly on customer property.
- Follows route assignments and completes documentation at route end.
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
This job has no supervisory duties.
**Qualifications:**
- Education: None required.
- Experience: No prior work experience required.
- Certificates: Commercial Driver's License B (CDL).
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, background check, and motor vehicle record review.
- Acceptable driving record required.
