Job summary

Engineered Products in Easley, SC is seeking a Roll Form Operator to safely operate roll forming equipment and produce high-quality metal components meeting customer specifications. You will set up tooling, monitor product quality, and support efficient production flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, manufacturing experience, and familiarity with safety standards such as lockout/tagout. forklift/ crane experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred; roll forming, metal fabrication, or steel framing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience operating industrial machinery in a production environment preferred.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of roll forming processes, tooling, materials, and machine setup.
  • Experience reading and interpreting production drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, including lockout/tagout, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Basic computer skills for production reporting and system navigation.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate roll forming machinery safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals.
  • Set up tooling, adjust machine settings, and verify proper machine operation before and during production runs.
  • Read and interpret production orders, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform in-process quality inspections using tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
  • Monitor product quality for dimensional accuracy, profile consistency, and overall conformance to specifications.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues, material feed problems, or tooling concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Assist with coil loading and material handling using forklifts, cranes, or other equipment as authorized.
  • Complete production records including output, scrap, downtime, and quality documentation.
  • Perform daily machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, lockout/tagout, and OSHA regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, uptime, and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with team members, quality personnel, and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.

Position Summary

Position: Roll Form Operator

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Easley, SC

The Roll Form Operator is responsible for safely operating roll forming equipment to produce high-quality metal components that meet production and customer specifications. This role ensures proper machine setup, monitors product quality throughout the manufacturing process, performs routine inspections, and supports efficient production flow. The Roll Form Operator plays a key role in maintaining safety, minimizing scrap, and ensuring consistent product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Areas Of Responsibilities
  • Operate roll forming machinery safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals.
  • Set up tooling, adjust machine settings, and verify proper machine operation before and during production runs.
  • Read and interpret production orders, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform in-process quality inspections using tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.

Skills And Abilities
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machine operation.
  • Ability to accurately read measuring devices to 1/32 inch or better.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of stud, track, or structural metal profiles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection processes and dimensional verification.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The Roll Form Operator works in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and fluctuating temperatures. This position requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift. The ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 pounds is required. This role also requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining awareness in a fast-paced industrial setting.
