Job summary

Nucor Warehouse Systems in Los Angeles, CA, is hiring a general laborer to safely handle materials from the Roll Form line and support daily production operations. You will join a team that values safety, efficiency, and teamwork, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, stock program, and pay-for-performance bonuses.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, the ability to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe work

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work any shift, overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Move and stack material from Roll Form machine.
• Perform general labor tasks such as sweeping and cleaning.
• Maintain clear grounds and safety practices.
• Willing to cross-train and assist other employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Pay Rate: $20.24 per hour, plus weekly production bonus.

Basic Job Functions:

• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Physically handling and removing material from the Roll Form machine and stacking it.
• General labor duties that may include but are not limited to sweeping, shoveling, and general clean-up of any area and/or equipment.
• Keep grounds clear of debris while maintaining safety standards.
• Willing to cross-train in other positions and assist other employees as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned and modifiable work responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in the Roll Form Department.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work any shift as required, overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work a modifiable schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working for a manufacturing company
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Basic math skills to keep track of inventory
