Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a forklift/clamp truck operator at our Denver, CO location. The role requires moving products safely from trucks to staging areas, performing daily safety checks, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Candidates must be prepared to work every shift and hold or obtain forklift credentials. Prior experience in packaging or manufacturing is preferred, with benefits including vacation, holidays, and a 401(k) with employer matching.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months experience operating a Roll Clamp or Forklift.
• Willingness to work EVERY shift.
• Certified industrial driver or ability to obtain certification quickly.
• Ability to safely operate a propane powered forklift.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Move product from the truck to the staging area safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily safety inspections of the clamp truck and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures on trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and Manufacturing practices at all times.
• Pick and stage orders and load/unload trucks while preserving inventory integrity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the product is moved from the truck to the staging area in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain and perform daily safety inspections of the clamp truck and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform lockout/tag out procedures on trailers.
• Maintain good housekeeping and manufacturing practices at all times.
• Pick and stage orders and load and unload trucks, while maintaining inventory integrity through proper handling and storage.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 6+ month’s prior experience operating a Roll Clamp or Forklift
• Successful candidate must be willing to work EVERY shift.
• Certified industrial driver or ability to get certified in a timely manner.
• Ability to safely operate a propane powered forklift.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.

Compensation And Benefits

• Starting salary for position: $25.02 - $27.34 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 1 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
