Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is hiring for a forklift operator to move products from trucks to staging areas and maintain a safe, organized workspace. You will perform routine safety checks and adhere to lockout/tagout procedures while ensuring inventory integrity during loading and unloading.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, willingness to work any shift, and the ability to obtain certification for industrial forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the product is moved from the truck to the staging area in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain and perform daily safety inspections of the clamp truck and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform lockout/tag out procedures on trailers.
• Maintain good housekeeping and manufacturing practices at all times.
• Pick and stage orders and load and unload trucks, while maintaining inventory integrity through proper handling and storage.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Successful candidate must be willing to work any shift.
• Certified industrial driver or ability to get certified in a timely manner.
• Ability to safely operate a propane powered forklift.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.

Compensation And Benefits

• Starting salary for position: $27.42 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
• Paid Holidays.
