Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an on-site team member to move products from trucks to staging areas safely and efficiently. The role includes performing clamp truck safety checks and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

You will also execute lockout/tagout for trailers and ensure inventory integrity while loading and unloading trucks. Manufacturing discipline and flexibility for shifts are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that the product is moved from the truck to the staging area in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain and perform daily safety inspections of the clamp truck and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform lockout/tag out procedures on trailers.
• Maintain good housekeeping and manufacturing practices at all times.
• Pick and stage orders and load and unload trucks, while maintaining inventory integrity through proper handling and storage.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Successful candidate must be willing to work any shift.
• Certified industrial driver or ability to get certified in a timely manner.
• Ability to safely operate a propane powered forklift.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary for position: $27.42 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
