Job summary

Maven Robotics, Inc. is seeking a Robotic Systems Testing Engineer to define and execute robust test plans for lab and field reliability. You will balance simulation and real‑robot tests, work with the Simulation team to enable sim capabilities, and build utilities to report results to design teams.

The role requires C++/Python, ROS2, Linux, and hands‑on experience with robotics simulations (Gazebo, IsaacSim) in safety‑critical environments.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in robotics, computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience operating robotic systems in safety‑critical environments.
• Proficient in C++ and Python; familiarity with ROS2 and Linux development/debugging.
• Working knowledge of CANOpen, EtherCAT or UART networking.
• Familiarity with Gazebo and IsaacSim simulation tools.

We are looking to recruit an exceptional Robotic Systems Testing Engineer to work on defining and executing our test plans to ensure robotic solutions are reliable in the lab and in the field.

In this roll you will:

• Define test strategy including what needs to be tested at the full system vs unit level.
• Distribute test cases between simulation and real robot environments.
• Work with the Simulation team to standup requiring capabilities in sim.
• Develop testing and reporting utilities.
• Execute tests in simulation and on robot, and report results back to the design teams.
• Define and manage the SW version approval pipeline for our field deployments.

Qualifications

• Must-have:
  • Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Familiarity with operating robotic systems in safety critical environments.
  • Proficiency with C++/Python programming languages and familiarity with ROS2 and Linux-based development and debugging environments.
  • Working knowledge of common robotics networking and communication protocols (e.g., CANOpen, EtherCAT, UART).
  • Familiarity with robotics simulation tools like Gazebo and IsaacSim.
• Nice-to-have:
  • Masters of Science (B.S.) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Experience with Hardware in the Loop (HIL) simulators and simulation environments
  • Experience defining and executing test plans for general purpose robotics solutions in a production context.
