The City of Medford's Parks & Recreation department invites applications for a part-time Recreation Leader II to support Rogue X Event Center and community programs. You will assist with registrations, facility reservations, and coordinate youth and adult activities, working with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth events.

This role emphasizes customer service, money handling, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• Graduation from High School or GED equivalent; or senior in high school on track to graduate.
• One (1) year of experience with organized recreational activities, sports, and/or childcare; experience must demonstrate responsibility and customer service.

Looking for a fun, active role where you can help bring recreation programs and special events to life? Join the Parks & Recreation team supporting Rogue X Event Center and Special Events! You’ll help with a variety of programs, activities, and events for youth and adults, assist with registrations and facility reservations, and work alongside staff and volunteers to help things run smoothly. From sports and games to arts and crafts, special events, and community programs, this is a great opportunity to work with people, provide great customer service, and create positive experiences for the community.

Required Education and Experience:

• Must be 18 years or older at time of hire; and
• Graduation from High School or GED equivalent; or senior in high school on track to graduate; and
• One (1) year of experience with organized recreational activities, sports, and/or childcare; experience must demonstrate responsibility and customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to supervise and lead recreational programs and activities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and staying calm under pressure
• Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail
• Experience handling money accurately
• Familiarity with sports, games, and arts & crafts activities

Available Schedule:

• Rogue X is open 7 days a week from 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM; hours will vary based on need and availability.
• We are primarily seeking candidates who are available to work evenings and weekends.

Compensation & Information on Benefits:

The anticipated hiring range for theRecreation Leader IIposition is $17.21(first step) to $18.06or $18.97(second or third step).The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, andqualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act.Threesteps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
