Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Rodman to support land surveying projects under the direction of the Party Chief. You will clear obstacles, set up rods and prisms, load gear, and maintain supplies while identifying monuments and ensuring accurate measurements.

The role requires lifting up to 35 lbs, working outdoors in various weather, and collaborating with engineering staff. Training provided as needed; apply to [e-mail].

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clear brush and obstacles to maintain line of sight.
• Carry and set up equipment (rods, tripods, prisms) for staking and measurement.
• Load/unload survey gear and supplies for job assignments.
• Maintain survey supplies (nails, paint, rods, flags) for daily tasks.
• Identify monuments correctly and plan line corners.
• Plumb prisms to ensure accurate measurements.
• Measure distances using chains, tape or similar tools.
• Compute and maintain field equipment.
• Perform other field surveying tasks as assigned.
