Job summary

Champions Oncology seeks a dedicated professional to conduct survival surgical procedures on mice, manage study data in LIMS, and maintain organized lab operations. The role requires handling of samples, tissue collection, and adherence to study protocols in a fast-paced CRO environment.

Responsibilities include weekend/holiday rotation and ensuring accurate data capture while supporting leadership and colleagues to uphold high scientific andethical standards.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in animal science, biology, pharmacology, or related field.
  • AALAS certification is preferred.
  • 2 years of related experience in a contract research animal facility or similar setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform survival surgical procedures on mice, including handling, restrain, anesthesia, surgical heterotopic and orthotopic tumor fragment and tumor cell implantations, euthanasia, tissue collection and tissue cryopreservation.
  • Record study data within the laboratory information management system (LIMS).
  • Perform general study preparation and organizational activities, including sample labeling, supply organization and stocking, and laboratory organization.
  • Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
