Job summary

FootBridge is seeking a PLC Programmer to develop, modify, and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation PLC code for water and wastewater projects across Michigan and Ohio. The role focuses on ControlLogix/CompactLogix platforms, Studio 5000, and ladder logic, with a emphasis on translating project requirements into robust control sequences.

The ideal candidate will interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs, support field commissioning and startup activities, and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience writing and developing PLC code using Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Experience programming ControlLogix and/or CompactLogix PLCs.
• Proficiency with Studio 5000 Logix Designer and ladder logic programming.
• Ability to develop new control logic from project requirements, sequences of operation, and control narratives.
• Experience modifying, debugging, and troubleshooting PLC programs.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control system documentation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Michigan and Ohio.
• Experience with wastewater treatment, water treatment, or water infrastructure projects (preferred).
• HMI programming experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and industrial communications networks (preferred).
• Experience integrating PLCs with VFDs, instrumentation, and process control equipment (preferred).
• Field commissioning, system startup, and troubleshooting experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with RSLogix 500/5000 and other Rockwell programming tools (preferred).
