Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a TEST STAND DESIGN & BUILD ENGINEER (Structures/Fluid Systems) to develop and validate test stands for Starship, Raptors, and related hardware in McGregor, TX. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and central to advancing propulsion testing capabilities.

The engineer will lead system design, collaborate with technicians, and ensure readiness for rapid testing cycles, with emphasis on reliability and maintainability of fluid and structural systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of hands-on design or build experience in professional work, internships, clubs, or engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and build systems that support testing of fully integrated flight vehicles, engines, and components.
• Drive cradle-to-grave ownership of projects through design reviews, procurement, and construction.
• Work with technicians to build designs and fix real-world problems on the fly.
• Maintain a tight feedback loop with test operations to meet deadlines.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment to achieve testing objectives and iterate designs.
